Se presenta el sistema de mitas impuesto por el poder colonial hispano en la ciudad de Chachapoyas de la región peruana de Amazonas, Perú. El estudio parte del análisis de un documento del año 1586 mediante el cual se registra la cantidad de indios repartidos a los españoles residentes en la región de Chachapoyas.
