Information policy in the Documentation Services in the TV companies

This research identifies and analyzes the main tools of regulation and information policies that documentation services from television stations must have in order to achieve the main objective of facilitating audiovisual information required by journalists. Regulations/policies analyzed are related with description of audiovisual material, the criteria for selection of audiovisual information to become part of the collection of the chain, the rules of access and use of audiovisual content, the rules that regulate the preservation of information, ethical and deontological professional guidelines, and finally, the regulations for the use of software for document management.Se identifican y analizan las principales herramientas normativas y políticas de información con las que deben contar los servicios de documentación de las cadenas televisivas con el fin de lograr el objetivo principal de facilitar la información audiovisual requerida por los periodistas. Las normativas/políticas analizadas son relacionadas con la descripción del material audiovisual, con los criterios de selección de la información audiovisual para que formen parte de la colección de la cadena, las normas de acceso y uso de los contenidos audiovisuales, las normas que regulan la conservación de la información, las directrices éticas y deontológicas, y por último, las normas de utilización del software de gestión documental
