Compétence professionnelle et formation initiale

Political, cultural and social factors can explain the evolution of professional skills. The history of the training and recruiting of Physical Training teachers, makes it possible to understand the importance of certain socio-economic factors in the construction of professional knowledge. If one considers the process of professional integration, there seems to emerge three roles for training and recruiting institutions. The first one consists in passing down and validating skills. The second one consists in sorting out individuals who are socially close to one another so as to constitute a homogeneous population and maintain a stable system of values. The third one consists in acknowledging the social characteristics of individuals by setting them as neutral technical skills.L’évolution des compétences professionnelles peut s’expliquer par des facteurs politiques, culturels et sociaux. L’histoire de la formation et du recrutement des enseignants d’EPS permet de comprendre l’importance de certains facteurs socio-économiques dans la construction des savoirs professionnels. Si on s’attache au processus d’insertion professionnelle, trois rôles semblent émerger pour les institutions de formation et de recrutement. Le premier est celui de transmettre et de valider des compétences. Le deuxième est celui de filtrer les individus les plus proches socialement pour constituer une population homogène et maintenir un système de valeurs stable. Le troisième est celui de faire reconnaître les propriétés sociales des individus en les fixant en compétences techniques neutres.Marsault Christelle.
