Understanding and interpreting literary work at school : from the reticent text to the proliferous text. Catherine TAUVERON, INRP «Littéraire » research team. The INRP research dealing with the « didactisation of the literary reading and wri-ting of the narrative at school during the 2nd and 3rd cycles (6 to 1 0-year olds) » aims to determine and test the conditions which help the early initiation of pupils to the literary reading, an initiation which is deemed possible and necessary as soon as pupils start to learn about the written language. The research puts forward the theory that pupils can only be initiated to the literary reading as a problem-solving activity if resistant texts are used.
