The administrators of Catholic secondary schools may justly be presumed to have a deep appreciation of the importance of the teaching of religion. The principal is invariably either a priest or a religious, one whose life has been consecrated to the service of God and whose training has emphasized religious ideals. The higher superiors, both the Ordinary of the diocese and the General of the religious community, are still more deeply concerned about this most important .obligation.
