Quatre lettres négligées de J.-B. Suard à Julie de Lespinasse

Four neglected letters of suard to Julie de Lespinasse. The four letters written by the writer Jean-Baptiste Suard (1732-1817) to Julie de Lespinasse, which are lodged at the Bibliothèque Nationale, demonstrate the friendly relations between the two correspondents. Of these four letters, three are unpublished. The first, dated from London, comes from Suard's second visit to England (1773), the two following, dated from La Source, allude to the deterioration in Julie's health, much affected by the marriage of her lover, the comte de Guibert, in 1775. The last — already published in 1927 — is dated from Montigny, where the government had met, in October 1775, to choose a new Minister of War.Pascal Jean-Noël. Quatre lettres négligées de J.-B.
