Jean I's, Duke of Brabant, Military Support to Philippe III, King of France, during his Iberian Expeditions (1276-1285). Philippe III le Hardi, King of France, led for both personal and political reasons several expeditions in Iberian land. Against Castile in 1276, he wished to ensure the succession of Fernando de la Cerda's children, then against Aragon in 1285 after Pierre Ill's agression of Charles d'Anjou. Among the princes who accompanied the King of France, the presence of Jean I, Duke of Brabant, can be noticed. This allows us to study in detail one of the Duke's rides.
