The rise of the automobile industries of emerging countries required a rapid control of complex, entire industry and research sectors. To achieve these objectives, proactive policies have been implemented to catch up in the field of technology. Through the four "BRIC" (Brazil-Russia-India-China) examples, we observe how the various industrial developments and economic choices made have contributed to the success of these countries. We also question the capacity of these new automobile industries to go from emergence to leadership perhaps sooner than expected, as rapid normative evolutions appear in this sector, particularly in terms of energy choices and technologies.La montée en puissance des industries automobiles des grands pays émergent...
