Quelques remarques à propos de l'institutionnalisation du marché du travail industriel dans l'Italie unifiée (1860-1914).

A Few Remarks about the Institutionalization of the Market of Industrial Labour in Unified Italy (1860-1914). Although the Italy that spans from unification to World War I had explicitly represented itself as founded on a purely free-market logic, it constituted a dense and multi-tiered network of management tools, either formal or informal, institutionalized or not, aiming at organizing, directly or indirectly, the labour market and the nascent wage relationship. By doing so, it was able to rework older conventions and regulations, reshaped according to the new free trade world, or create new ones, inventing new forms of organizations or adapting other practices borrowed from the rest of Europe. In spite of the lack of a centre, and still more of a hypertrophied centre, peculiar to countries like France, a conventional and regulatory network, embodied in specific forms of sociability, in networks of individuals, in local strategies, integrated itself to the market and accompanied the industrialization process of the peninsula while being the topic of a constat debate between the various agents, a debate that fed the complex strategies which these latter developed.Bien que l'Italie du demi-siècle qui va de l'unification à la Première Guerre mondiale se soit explicitement représentée elle-même comme relevant d'une pure logique libérale et marchande, elle a constitué un réseau dense, et à différentes échelles, d'outils de gestion, formels et informels, institutionnalisés ou non, visant à organiser, directement ou indirectement, le marché du travail et le rapport salarial naissant. Ce faisant, elle a pu retravailler des conventions et des règles anciennes, remodelées dans le monde libéral nouveau, ou en créer de nouvelles, inventant des formes d'organisation ou en adaptant d'autres des pratiques venues du reste de l'Europe. Malgré l'absence de centre, et encore moins d'hypertrophie du centre, propre, par exemple, à la France, un réseau conventionnel et réglementaire, porté par des formes spécifiques de sociabilité, des réseaux d'individus, des stratégies locales, s'est articulé au marché et a accompagné l'industrialisation de la péninsule tout en faisant l'objet d'un débat ininterrompu entre les divers agents, débat qui a nourri les stratégies complexes que ces derniers ont pu mettre en œuvre.Enkele opmerkingen over de institutionalisatie van de industrïele arbeidsmarkt in het eengemaakte Italie (1860-1914). Tijdens de halve eeuw tussen de eenmaking en de Eerste Wereldoorlog is Italie erin geslaagd zich als een produkt van de zuiver liberale en handelslogika te vertonen. Het was veeleer een dicht netwerk met zeer verscheiden formele of informele instellingen die een direkte of indirekte impact hadden op de arbeidsmarkt en het begin van de salarisafspraken. Op die manier werden oude regels en conventies herwerkt en hervormd in de nieuwe liberale optiek. Men voerde ook organisatiemodellen in uit de rest van Europa. De afwezigheid van een centrumlaat staan de wildgroei van een centrum zoals in Frankrijkten spijt werd een netwerk van reglementen en conventies uitgebouwd, gedragen door strategièen, dat de vorming van de markt en van de industrialisering van het schiereiland begeleid heeft, terwijl die voortdurend het voorwerp bleef van een debat tussen de verschillende agenten die daaraan hun komplekse strategieen ontleenden.Dewerpe Alain.
