Note on twenty lost and found Ethiopian records (1921-1927) ; Thanks to Marcel Cohen (1884-1974), we know that in the early 1920s, twenty-six Ethiopian songs, hymns and tales were recorded on eleven disks under the auspices of the Sorbonne's Institut de Phonétique and Archives de la Parole. In 1956, Marcel Cohen himself thought these recordings were lost. In May 2011, these recordings have reappeared on the Digital Library, Gallica.
