L'aménagement d'une moyenne montagne forestière : Iraty

Tourism development in the forest of Iraty (Pyrénées- Atlantiques, France). Thanks to original legal structures and to the emergence of new resources (ringdove-shooting and lumbering), the mountains of the Soule in the Iraty district have been developed for tourist purposes. A forest village built in the mountain has shown the existence of well-defined classes of visitors but it also emphasizes the drawbacks of any kind of building on a virgin site.Grâce à des structures juridiques originales (les Commissions syndicales) et à l'apparition de nouvelles ressources (chasse à la palombe et exploitation forestière) la montagne de Soûle, dans le secteur d'Iraty, a fait l'objet d'un aménagement touristique. L'implantation, en altitude, d'un village forestier a révélé l'existence d'une clientèle particulière, mais souligne les inconvénients de toute construction dans un site vierge.Chadefaud Michel, Dalla-Rosa Gilbert.
