A study of the encounter between Protestant workers in Northern Ireland and the various loyalist ideologies. A closer look at Protestant radicalism, such as the Independent Orange Order of Crawford, shows a great amount of dissent in thought and action. Carson's organization of workers within Unionism partakes more of British working-class conservatism, but its mechanism is specific and is worth a closer look.
