Ankyloglossia is defined as an abnormally short tongue frenulum that restricts lingual mobility. This congenital anomaly requires early and coordinated multidisciplinary care, in which the speech and language therapist is involved. However, this condition and its management are controversial among the professionals involved. The aim of this dissertation was to assess the knowledge, feelings and needs of French professionals regarding ankyloglossia in babies aged 0-6 months and the role of the speech and language therapist in its management.
