Universalisme chrétien, religions du monde et structures séculières

Even though the universalism ofGod's plan ofsalvation is well-known, a theology of human médiation is less developed. Which médiation ? Certainly, the Catholic Church is, for us, générale auxilium salutis (Denz.-Schônm., n° 3870). It is necessary, however, to envisage the ensemble of the forms ofthis médiation : first, Personal forms of médiation, i.e. acts by which God's sanctifying love reaches each person (whether Christ ians, or those believing in other religions, or non-believers, and under which conditions) ; then, collective forms of médiation (the Catholic Church, other Christian Churches as such, world religions as such, and also global, secular structures) . Ail thèse forms of human médiation may incarnate the dynamic reality of divine agapè ; the présent article spécifies the conditions permitting thèse forms to effectively accomplis h this. Several complementary indications help to refîne the présentation by evoking certain less optimistic aspects of the concrète situation of the différent forms of médiation which hâve been studied.Thils Gustave.
