Análise de propriedades mecânicas de mistura asfáltica usando ligante modificado por via seca com resíduo industrial e escória de cobre pós-jateada

The numerous industrial processes currently generate different residues, and the accumulation of these motivates researchers to study their use in the development of new technologies and in the minimization of impact on the environment. In this way, researchers have carried out studies with the use of waste in the development of new materials and, consequently, have achieved satisfactory results. With regard to road pavement engineering, the increase in traffic density and adverse weather conditions have led to the development of new construction technologies and the use of new materials. These are present in the constituent layers of the pavement, in the modification of the asphalt binder and in the composition of the stone aggregates of asphalt concrete covering the flexible pavement. The use of solid waste has been studied as binder modifiers and as a fine aggregate in asphalt concrete with the aim of increasing its performance in terms of resilience, resistance to permanent deformation and premature aging, contributing to increase the useful life of the pavement. In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the mechanical behavior of asphalt concrete with modified CAP 50/70 binder, by dry process, with 10% m/m of oily sludge masterbatch and tire rubber, in the proportion 15/85% m /m, having as a fine aggregate post-blasted copper slag. For this, the analysis of Marshall stability, tensile strength by diametral compression, modulus of resilience and Cantabro abrasion resistance were performed. The results of the analysis of Marshall stability and tensile strength by diametrical compression of asphalt concrete with binder modified with industrial waste, containing copper slag as fine stone aggregate, were higher than the minimum limit recommended by the norm. The resilience modulus was 23.73% lower than that of the CAP 50/70 asphalt concrete, which can be improved by increasing the concentration of tire rubber in the masterbatch. Despite this, the results of the mechanical properties analyzed indicate the feasibility of using the industrial waste under study in the composition of asphalt concrete for road pavement, with the advantage of the process of modifying the asphalt binder by dry process. In addition, when comparing this process to the modification of the binder by wet method, it can be seen that it prevents the early aging of the asphalt binder, due to the long exposure to heat.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESOs inúmeros processos industriais atualmente geram diferentes resíduos e, o acúmulo destes motiva pesquisadores a estudar o seu uso no desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias e na minimização de impacto ao meio ambiente. Dessa forma, pesquisadores têm realizado estudos com o uso de resíduos industriais no desenvolvimento de novos materiais e, consequentemente, têm alcançado resultados satisfatórios e promissores. No tocante à engenharia de pavimento rodoviário, o aumento da densidade de tráfego e a adversidade climática têm levado o desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias de construção e o uso de novos materiais. Esses estão presentes nas camadas constituintes do pavimento, na modificação de ligante asfáltico e na composição dos agregados pétreos de misturas asfálticas de revestimento do pavimento flexível. O uso de resíduos sólidos vem sendo estudado como modificadores de ligante e como agregado miúdo em mistura asfáltica com o objetivo de aumentar o seu desempenho quanto à resiliência, a resistência à deformação permanente e ao envelhecimento precoce, contribuindo para aumentar a vida útil do pavimento. Neste contexto, este estudo teve por objetivo avaliar o comportamento mecânico de mistura asfáltica com ligante CAP 50/70 modificado, por via seca, com 10% m/m de masterbatch de borra oleosa e borracha de pneu, na proporção 15/85% m/m, tendo como escória de cobre pós-jateada como substituinte parcial do agregado pétreo miúdo. Para tal, a análise de estabilidade Marshall, resistência à tração por compressão diametral, módulo de resiliência e resistência à abrasão Cântabro foram realizadas. Os resultados das análises de estabilidade Marshall e resistência à tração por compressão diametral da mistura asfáltica com ligante modificado com resíduo industrial, contendo escória de cobre como agregado pétreo miúdo, foram superiores ao limite mínimo recomendado por norma. O módulo de resiliência foi 23,73% inferior ao da mistura asfáltico CAP 50/70. Apesar disso, os resultados das propriedades mecânicas analisadas indicam a viabilidade do uso dos resíduos industriais, em estudo, na composição de mistura asfáltica, para revestimento de pavimento rodoviário, com a vantagem do processo de modificação do ligante asfáltico, por via seca, submeter o ligante asfáltico a um menor tempo de exposição a alta temperatura que o processo de modificação de ligante por via úmida o que evita o envelhecimento precoce do ligante asfáltico, decorrente da longa exposição ao calor.São Cristóvã
