The Anthologia Latina is a compilation of anonymous epigrams, most of which were composed during the Vandal period, and of a number of poems attributed to Luxorius, a well-known senatorial of the court of the last Vandal kings. Special attention is focused on two works of verses of each of the collections. They concern individuals who belong to populations living in the margins of the Roman Empire : one Arzuge, bad poet, two Garamantes of humble condition, of whom one is assimilated with a Black man, and one 'Egyptian" uenator, equally of black complexion (from Nubian origin ?), who became famous in the amphitheatre of Carthage.
