Abstract : Borges considered Geneva as one of his intimate homelands. He lived an important part of his youth between 1914 and 1918 there and stayed in it, up to his death, in Geneva, in 1986. The article examines atfirst the counter-image which Borges is going to give of Geneva with regard to the Spanish-speaking literature which precedes. Then is drawn the mental topography of Borges in Geneva. How is the city map restored by the souvenir by the visually-impaired poet from 1955 ?
