Two texts of Renaut de Louhans, a Dominican monk of the first half of the fourteenth century, are known to us. Both are translations or adaptations of Latin texts. One is the Livre de Melibee et Prudence, already edited by J. B. Severs in 1941 ; the other is Renaut's Roman de Fortune et de Felicité, a verse adaptation of Boethius's Consolatio Philosophiae which remains unedited. This article provides (i) a detailed description of the 35 manuscripts know to contain copies of the text and two other closely associated manuscripts, and (ii) a classification of those manuscripts into three major groups and a fourth mixed group.
