This article presents a synthesis of the way in which the four gospels develop the relationship to built space. In this respect, three principal places are involved : the temple, the synagogue and the house. What is the relationship between them and is the relationship the same in the different gospels ? Is the way in which each gospel narrative articulates these three places together instructive as to Jesus' person and/or as to the community of his disciples ?
