Innovations religieuses et pensée théologique

The émergence and the rapid diffusion of new religious movements raises questions for the Catholic Church, its pastors and its theologians. This article analyses two significant reactions : that which was elaborated by four Roman Dicasters in 1986, and that of the 1991 consistory. Following from their analyzes and observations, the authors suggest afew corrections of ecclesial practices. The second part of the article raises its own question of agreement with the shifts in the presentation or the accent of doctrine. It is not unusual that the seduction of certain sects cornes from highlighting one or another "forgotten truth" ofthe Christian tradition. If it is true that faith is to listen to the world, it is as much in order to verify the adequacy of pastoral practices as to reread or to deepen afew doctrinal tenets.Weber Philippe.
