Abstract. - This paper is a case study about a rainstorm of an exceptional intensity which occured on may 7-8 1988, during the night, in the Sarthe department. The soaring maize and sunflower provides a worry, especially since may is considered as a month with a short return period for severe rainstorms in this area.Résumé.
