Abstract. - Cultural geography which analyzes the cultural practices as well as the social and cultural representations of the actors in the making of a landscape or in the spatial organization of a city requires a specific kind of fieldwork. However a 2006 survey conducted among French researchers showed a limited interest in the fieldwork.
