Abstract. - The author deals with the place of mountain among Ancient Greeks : mythology (house of gods, place of many stories) and cults (Delphi). Greece is mountainous, mais mountain seemed to be wild, even repulsive. Scarcely worked, but for hunting and herds, mountain was mainly used for thoroughfare and boundary between different cities (poleis).Résumé. - L'auteur évoque la place de la montagne chez les Grecs de l 'Antiquité : dans la mythologie (demeure des dieux, et lieu de bien des légendes) et les cultes (Delphes). La Grèce est montagneuse, mais la montagne apparaissait surtout sauvage, voire répulsive. Peu exploitée, sinon par la chasse et le pastoralisme, la montagne servait de passage et de frontière entre les différentes cités ...
