The representation of the pantomime in the Greek and Roman novels: the exemples of Longus and Apuleius. Longus’ Daphnis and Chloe and Apuleius’ Metamorphoses contain two descriptions of pantomimes. The study of these episodes aims to show that the many distortions between these novelistic representations and the reality of the pantomimic shows are not meaningless.
