The present paper presents an introduction to the study of the Korean constitutional court, view through the prism of the French constitutional council. It aims to compare the two institutions through their status and functions. The Korean constitutional court is an interesting model of constitutional justice standing for a model of “ loan” and “ transfert of legal technology”, in relation to foreign legal institutions. However, it cannot be understood without being included into the constitutional and political history of South Korea.
