In archaeological survey, geophysical prospecting is a turning point among the methods of archaeological study, after the gathering of primary data and the specific means that are archaeological excavations. Several sites have been studied in the purpose of archaeological evaluation through geophysics and local mechanical tests with an auger or a dynamic penetrometer or a spade. Mechanical data are integrated with the geophysical ones for two kinds of processes.
