Abstract. - In spite of the democratization of state education, school attendance of students aged more than 16, keeps being contrasted within the parisian agglomeration. At the top of the classification, the well-off western areas stand out for housing 44% of the students. On the contrary, the northern suburbs, still mainly working class, are characterized by a less important and shorter school attendance.
