Abstract. - « Collines guinoises » constitute a more convenient regional name than a real one, although used by the D.D.A. of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais. This little region shows a very strong geographical contact function. Although the « Collines guinoises » are based on a natural unity between the « Plaine maritime » and the « Boulonnais », this regional space is broken off by the administration and planning structures.
