Abstract. - The impact of the distribution of constituencies on election results is extremely complex. The system of votation by constituency can be a disadvantage for the governing majority because the voters are badly spread out throughout the country (the mass of pro-government voters is concentrated in the west and east areas). But there is also the problem of the size of the constituencies which is to the disadvantage of the left wing parties.Résumé. - L'influence du découpage des circonscriptions sur les résultats électoraux est fort complexe. Alors que le principe même du vote par circonscription désavantage la majorité actuelle dont les voix sont mal réparties (inutile concentration dans l'est et l'ouest) les phénomènes de taille des circonscriptions jouent, et de plus en plus, au détriment de la gauche.Pascal Pierre.
