Needs of the battle against the "anthropic drift of the climate " have behaved to the affirmation of a geoscience whose pretensions have no equal that uncertainties. It is neccessary to register the facts in a problematics really rigorous.Le thème du réchauffement a récemment promu le climat parmi les problèmes majeurs auxquels la société est confrontée. Au-delà de la remise en cause d'une vulgate conquérante, il s 'agit de mener une réflexion sur l'élaboration des connaissances et le rôle du « scientifique ». Les besoins de la lutte contre la « dérive anthropique du climat » ont conduit à l'affirmation d'une géoscience dont les prétentions n 'ont d'égales que les incertitudes.
