Before a framework of strategic reorientation from a new configuration of the Brazilian hegemonic political bloc given from the institutional coup of 2016, new educational policies are consolidated from the Secondary Education Counter-Reform (Law nº 13.415/2017). By analyzing the antecedents and main developments of these policies, their impacts on high school student self-organization are investigated articulating, in qualitative research, bibliographic and empirical material. For that, the specialized literature was verified in order to rescue the main fundamentals and objectives of the New High School.
