Measurements of thermal conductivity made during Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Leg 131 were corrected during the cruise using the following set of standards: fresh water, fused silica, Macor ceramic, and basalt. The true thermal conductivity of the basalt standard was not known during Leg 131.
