This study is based on the ceramic ware used to felt up a well on the site of the Bourse in Marseilles (excavated in 1983-84) which may date back to the second half of the XVIth century, although we have but few bibliografic references. It was so homogeneous and apparently repréesentative (of the time in our region) that we were led to describe it in detail and, as far as possible, identify the origins of those ceramics. Beside better known productions, series that may have been produced on the spot or in the neighbourhood- the workshop are still to befound- have been identified.
