Strategic planning is essential to improve a company's competitiveness, involving the formulation of long-term objectives and identifying the necessary actions to achieve them. However, deficiencies have been identified in the formulation and implementation of strategic planning in footwear micro and small enterprises (Mypes), reducing their competitive advantage in the market. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of planning and competitiveness of shoe-selling Mypes in Tarapoto, Peru. A basic, relational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional study was conducted, administering two questionnaires to 44 Mype managers.
