The aim of this research is to produce a complete thematic analysis of the heroic poems (Bias, Odyssea, Scutum and the fragments of the other poems). We must identify, classify and describe exhaustively the themes and the motives, i.e. the semantic and structural elements of the epic narration. The identification of the single themes and motives is based on these textual principles : a) the narrative structures, b) the repetition and the variation, c) the relationship between the thematic structures and the use of the formular language. Then, we can index all the themes and the motives together with the greek texts, and we can produce a vertical thematic decription of the poems and the complete catalogues of themes and motives.L'obiettivo d...
