The Egyptian stock market Formerly one of the most important market places in the world, the Egyptian stock market is now just starting to awake from the long lethargy which it had been facing since the Nasserian era. The legal and regulatory framework has been completely reshaped over the last three years and activity has somehow increased. However, the market remains underfunded and relatively illiquid.
