Offshoring by financial institutions : a trend still at its beginning The development of offshoring by financial institutions, which is underway since 2001, was very quick during the last few years. Several studies undertaken by Deloitte since 2003 allowed to measure the importance of offshoring by financial institutions and to identify the types of benefits which might be drawn from such operations. The success of offshoring, in particular the expected reduction of costs, depends, to a large extent, from their good execution. If the widening of the scope and of the size of offshored activities seems to increase the level of costs reduction, it does not seem to constitute the only factor to which financial institutions shall pay attention....
