Remendando los jirones del pasado: la reconstrucción de una casulla confeccionada con tejido nazarí (siglo XIV) como caso de estudio

In this text, we propose to analyze the dissemination and loss of the Andalusian material heritage that happened after the 19th century, due to, among other motives, the rise of collecting. For this we will use the comparison of the old photographs preserved in the Photo Library of the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain (Madrid), where they show the front and back of a chasuble made with scraps of Nasrid manufacture (14th-15th centuries), and the different fragments of the textile decorated with the same design with which it was made distributed in several institutions.Conocemos la existencia de una casulla hoy desaparecida gracias a dos fotografías antiguas conservadas en la Fototeca del Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España (Madrid). En ellas se muestra su delantero y espalda confeccionados con un gran número de retales de manufactura nazarí (siglo XIV). La diseminación y pérdida del patrimonio material andalusí que se dio a partir del siglo XIX se debió, entre otros motivos, al auge del coleccionismo. Es en este contexto cuando parece ser que la vestimenta eclesiástica fue descosida, recortada y vendida por piezas. El objetivo de este trabajo es identificar los fragmentos de tejido que pertenecieron a dicha vestimenta eclesiástica y reconstruirla digitalmente como si de un puzle se tratara. Para ello utilizaremos como herramienta un catálogo textil confeccionado previamente en el que se incluyen tejidos ornamentados con el mismo patrón decorativo y que se encuentran repartidos en nueve instituciones
