Research data management is a broader term that involves managing research data throughout its lifecycle from data creation to storage and long-term preservation up to data accessibility and reuse. The aim of RDM services is to make the research process efficient, increase research impact, ensure data planning, ensure the preservation of data in a repository, promote discoveries, and support open access. The service is intended to help researchers or faculty members and students find a place to deposit their research data, develop data management plans as well as to ensure their research data are made visible and accessible globally. But are those responsible for the provision of these kind of services ready to provide the services to the potential and actual users of university library? This what prompt this research study.
