Excessive synthetic fungicide use reduces soil's antagonistic population, allowing soil-borne plant pathogens to cause significant global losses. Despite high fungicide application, plant diseases persist, harming the ecosystem. Trichoderma spp, an eco-friendly plant symbiont, can serve as an alternative biocontrol agent.
