The technology of mentoring and the possibilities of its implementation in the process of professional development of future specialists are considered. The functions of mentors (advisory, socio-pedagogical, spiritual) and criteria of mentoring (democratic, social orientation, originality, research, dialogue, leadership, cooperation) were analyzed.
