La importancia de la Diplomacia Científica y los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible: Desafíos y Oportunidades

This article aims to delve into the concepts of science diplomacy and its relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals, with special emphasis on their opportunities and challenges and exposing experiences in Latin America. Towards the concept of science diplomacy, the different approaches to it are broken down, as well as the actions led by the countries to advance national, cross-border and global interests; The article also identified the actors of science diplomacy and their roles. Opportunities were expressed for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, as well as the importance of South-South Cooperation in this process. It is noted that although there are successful initiatives, there are still many challenges especially in the face of financing the implementation of the SDGs, their monitoring and measurement of indicators. Likewise, countries must strengthen their science diplomacy schemes in order to jointly achieve common interests.El presente artículo pretende ahondar en los conceptos de diplomacia científica y su relación con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, realizando especial hincapié en las oportunidades y desafíos de los mismos y exponiendo experiencias de América Latina. Frente al concepto de diplomacia científica, se desglosan los diferentes abordajes del mismo, así como las posibles acciones lideradas por los países para avanzar en intereses nacionales, transfronterizos y globales; igualmente de identificaron los actores de la diplomacia científica y sus roles. Se expresaron oportunidades para la implementación de la Agenda 2030, así como la importancia de la Cooperación Sur-Sur en este proceso. Se observa que si bien existen iniciativas exitosas, aún se encuentran muchos desaf por su partetido, co y social; la ientnjunta intereses a humanidadarrollo en los pa de alcanzar los planteamientos de la Agtendíos especialmente de cara a la financiación de la implementación de los ODS, su monitoreo y medición de indicadores.  Asimismo, los países deben fortalecer sus esquemas de diplomacia científica con el fin de alcanzar de forma conjunta intereses en común
