Emergence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) among fish bacterial pathogens is one of the major global public threats. Attempts are being made to develop novel alternatives as a promising approach to combat multidrug resistance disease-causing bacteria. Natural antimicrobials such as essential oils (EOs) are a potential unique strategy to treat bacterial infections with a reduced risk of resistance developing.
