Abstract The association between red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and in-hospital mortality in intensive care patients with acute pancreatitis (AP) is inconclusive. We extracted the baseline data, Bedside Index for Severity in Acute Pancreatitis (BISAP) score, Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score, and in-hospital prognosis of intensive care patients with AP from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV database. Performing binary logistic regression analysis to determine whether RDW is an independent risk factor for in-hospital mortality.
