Sea turtles are reptiles that are slow but consistent in achieving their goals. It is capable of spending most of its life at sea and breeding in challenging conditions ranging from natural disturbances to predatory beasts. The Lekang species (Lepidochelys olivacea) is one of sea turtles that have a relatively small body size compared to other species. Some studies and reserarch showed that Pekik Nyaring Beach in Bengkulu, which vegetation is dominated by sea cypress plants (Casuarina equisetifolia), coconut (Cocos nucifera), and katang-katang (Ipomoea pescaprae), having a coastline length of approximately 2 km and average width of 22.6 m, average temperature of 28°C, sand humidity of 61% and soil composition of 92.39% sand, 2.64%, dust and clay 3,07 % clay, .is an ideal place for sea turtles to lay their eggs.
