The surrealist poetry tries to be eye's incarnation. The different philosophical apories concerning Vision are examined and connected with Breton ' s theory of images. Eleven propositions are developped : « seing » tells the Eye ; « seeing » is matter of transparency ; « seeing » is to know ; « seeing » and « being seen » should be a glance ; the mirror is a metaphor of the eye ; the two-way mirror is a metaphor of the eye ; the eye is a metaphor of consciousness ; a text which could be the achievement of consciousness ; the eye is concerned by automatism ; what is written is a screen ; pleasure premium.Grivel Charles.
