Different spatial approaches in geodemographic studies

Throughout its history, Population Geography has always favoured the spatial aspect both when studying population distribution ans spatial pattern differentiations. The spatial approach, however, has changed. But in the 90s, Population Geography is still divided between followers of spatial demography and those practitioners that broaden our subject-matter to pay more attention to the social and academic context. So, it seems as if the discussion on the meaning and role played by place and daily life in globalization is arriving at Population Geography, because nowadays global dimension of geodemographic facts is a fact, but the local dimension is a fact as well.Les différentes approches spatiales de la démogéographie. C'est pour cela qu'il y a plusieurs orientations dans la Géographie de la Population.
