Vote, Church attendance and school in Western France. 75 years after André Siegfried, this paper analyses the relations between church attendance, school choice (State-controlled or catholic) and electoral behaviour in Western France. At the beginning of the century, large parts of Western France combined a very strong religious practice, the domination of catholic schools and an overwhelmingly right-wing vote. Other parts were at the same time more secular, choosing public schools and being politically on the left. The analysis of the present situation, in spite of church attendance decline, confirms these relationships which, however, are not simple.
