La villa gallo romaine du Quartier Régine au Puy-Sainte-Réparade (Bouches-du-Rhône)

The ancient constructions of the Régine District were excavated between 1998 and 2001 following an allotment project. The rural villa shows a continuous evolution from the lst to the 4th century materialized by the overlap of successive constructions and the diversity of the agricultural techniques highlighted on the 4500 m2 of the studied buildings. The methods of pressing in particular are observable through the transformations of the infrastructures and the types of counterweights. After a total reorganization of the constructions, the abandonment of the site seems to intervene in the second half of the 4th century, thus testifying to a thorough change in the mode of exploitation of the land. The majority of the grounds having been preserved, an abundant archaeological material could be studied, including ceramics, fauna and the currency.L'établissement antique du quartier Régine a été fouillé entre 1998 et 2001 à la suite d'un projet de lotissement. Cette villa rurale montre une évolution continue du Ier au IVe siècle, matérialisée par l'imbrication de constructions successives et la diversité des techniques agricoles mises en évidence sur les 4500m2 de bâtiments étudiés. Les méthodes de pressurage, en particulier, sont observables au travers des transformations des infrastructures et des contrepoids. Après une réorganisation totale de l'établissement, l'abandon du site semble intervenir dans la seconde moitié du IVe siècle, témoignant ainsi d'une profonde mutation des modes d'exploitation des terres.
