The aim of this article is the study of a group of roman statues found in Nîmes, route de Beaucaire during excavations in 1958. From a thematic as well as a stylistic perspective, they can be divided into two groups : the first set dating from the Antonine period, the other one from the second half or late IInd century A.D. These statues are of significant interest for they revealed the presence of an active workshop in Nîmes in the 2nd century A.D. Local stone was used to carve them out but it was worked according to roman art patterns.
